What Site Prep & Excavation Really Involves.

Site Prep & Excavation —

From Raw Land to Ready Pad.

Before you can build, you need a site that’s stable, level, and properly prepared. Long Valley Earthworks provides full site preparation and excavation services that turn raw land into build-ready ground.

1. Building Site Clearing:

Building Site Clearing is the first step. We remove trees, brush, stumps, and debris, leaving a clean surface ready for grading.

2. Excavating:

Next comes Excavating—moving dirt to create trenches for utilities, ponds, culverts, or foundations. With modern excavators and skilled operators, we ensure accuracy and efficiency in every dig.

3. Grading & Land Leveling:

Grading & Land Leveling follows, shaping the land to the right slopes and elevations for proper drainage. Poor grading leads to water issues down the road, so we take the time to do it right.

4. Building Pads:

Finally, Building Pads are constructed. These engineered pads are compacted, leveled, and proof-rolled to provide a stable foundation for shops, barns, garages, or homes.

Site prep and excavation may look like dirt work, but it’s the foundation of every successful project. Done correctly, it prevents drainage problems, structural issues, and costly repairs later. Done poorly, it can set you back months and thousands of dollars.
